Notice of Deadline to File Applications for Place on the Ballot
The Valley Mills ISD Board of Trustees consists of seven trustees elected to serve for overlapping terms of three years each. Each trustee serves at large, representing the entire school district. The candidate who receives the highest number of votes for each position will serve as a trustee. Runoffs are not conducted unless there is a tie.
Elections are conducted in May in accordance with the Texas Secretary of State Uniform Election Calendar.
In May of 2019, two positions will be on the ballot.
Interested candidates can file an application for a place on the ballot January 16, 2019 through February 15, 2019. Applications can be filed in person during regular office hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) at the address below. Candidate packets are available for pick up during this time at this same address.
