Chris Dowdy was named the Superintendent of Schools by the Valley Mills ISD Board of Trustees on May 10, 2021. Mr. Dowdy had previously served as the elementary principal since 2015.

Mr. Dowdy is married to Tessa, and they have one child, Kinsler.
