The TEA recently updated their COVID guidance for schools on January 7th, however, the newest changes from previous policies are applicable to staff members only. The commissioner did note during his call with superintendents that DSHS could possibly be making a decision soon to change isolation periods for students. VMISD will not make any changes to the Return to School Plan for students until DSHS and the TEA provide additional guidance. See the revised plan link below, with the only changes affecting staff members highlighted in yellow.
