Secondary Positions:

Junior High Science Teacher/Head Track Coach

Science Qualifications
Must be Texas Science Certified and meet Highly Qualified requirements to teach 7th and 8th Grade Science
Successful Science Classroom Experience Preferred
The teaching position will require teaching for learning using student-centered, hands-on classroom settings, lab experiences, and lessons that are aligned to the District’s 7th and 8th Grade Science curriculum and STAAR state science assessments

Coaching Qualifications
The coaching requirement for this position will include the duties of Head Track Coach, Assistant Football Coach, and Junior High Basketball Coach
No Head Coaching Experience required -Track background preferred, but will train the right person for the job
Must have a high energy level, possess high expectations of student athletes, and a willingness to support all athletic programs

This position requires organizational skills and the ability to handle stress under fire
Must be willing to acquire CDL and CPR/First Aid/AED certifications

Counselor
Junior High and High School
Must be appropriately certified with 3 years of school counseling experience
This position will include working with students and parents regarding school schedules, dual credit/articulation programs, at-risk programs, state assessments, and counseling, etc.
Must work well with junior high and high school students, parents, and administrators.
The job requires excellent communication skills and organizational skills and 3 years prior classroom teaching experience.

207 day contract
