Valley Mills Community and Parents;

I wanted to thank everyone for the warm welcome I have received since arriving in Valley Mills.  All the positive things I had heard about the community have been witnessed in my first few months here.  I appreciate all your efforts to make that so.

In my time here I have seen many GREAT things happening each and every day.  I walk the halls and the students are very courteous and friendly.  This is something that I feel is very important because it shows a high level of character being taught in the classroom, on the field, and at home.  The climate at both campuses is very inviting and positive.  The staff here has one central focus and that is providing the best education for all our students.  No matter the position, I have experienced nothing but positive behavior from them all. 

As we move forward in these challenging economic times I am thankful for sound business decisions that have been made by prior superintendents and the Board of Trustees.  Financially we are a very sound district.  The facilities are well cared for and in excellent shape.  We luckily are one of the districts in the State that is growing and I hope we continue to do so.  I think as long as positive things keep happening in the district we will continue to grow.
I hope you all keep supporting the school and especially the students in everything we do.  Together we can keep the Eagles soaring!
